Syntactic Features of Simile in English Learner’s Corpora (European Academic Research)

The present study aims to identify the syntactic features of simile in English Learner’s corpora. For this purpose, large data has been collected from Pakistani English Learner’s corpora. Simile refers to the indirect comparison of two things. According to Wordweb dictionary “a figure of speech that expresses a resemblance between things of different kinds (usually formed with 'like' or 'as').There are two types of similes. One to them is “simple simile” and second one is “elaborated simile”....
